The Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrined its Class of 2026 on Saturday, headlined by quarterbacks Drew Brees and a trio of legendary pass-catchers. In his enshrinement speech, Adam Vinatieri drew laughs with jokes about Bill Belichick, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. The Vikings’ QB competition between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy remains tight. The Browns are evaluating Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders in their QB competition. Teddy Bridgewater is retiring from the NFL again, leaving the Lions. The Raiders disciplined Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby after a practice scuffle. Kyle Shanahan plans to coach the 49ers’ preseason opener as he recovers from a car crash. Patrick Mahomes tested his rehabbed knee and said it feels “great.” Carson Beck posted a 125.4 passer rating in the Hall of Fame Game, a preseason win over the Panthers. Injury Report

The Bears’ Luther Burden III suffered a groin injury in practice and will miss time, while Burden left practice early Saturday after tangling with a teammate. Saints guard Dillon Radunz is out for the season with a torn ACL. Commanders left tackle Laremy Tunsil suffered a torn triceps and will likely miss significant time. Zay Flowers is day-to-day with a quad contusion, and Tank Dell is going for it after returning from an injury absence. The Panthers signed Kyle Trask as QB3 after Haynes King’s hamstring injury.

Blockbuster Contracts and Extensions

The Titans made Peter Skoronski the highest-paid guard in the NFL with a $100M extension. The Bills locked up O'Cyrus Torrence for $78.4M with $46M guaranteed. Jonathan Taylor signed a $44M extension with the Colts, while the Texans agreed to a $16M extension with Henry To'oTo'o.
