Bears' Luther Burden III Injured During Training Camp

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III exited training camp practice early Saturday with what appeared to be a lower body injury. During the final rep of red zone one-on-ones, Burden and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson got tangled up while the defensive back broke up a pass from Caleb Williams. Burden walked gingerly toward the weight room but did not return to practice.

Safety Cam Lewis also left practice early, making an already depleted secondary even thinner. Lewis was guarding wide receiver Rome Odunze when he came off the field limping and was eventually driven to the team's training room via cart. While a cart ride is not always indicative of severity, the injury adds to a growing list of ailments.

Chicago was also without defensive end Montez Sweat and left tackle Braxton Jones, who sustained injury Thursday. According to multiple sources, both injuries are not expected to sideline either player long-term.
