New Los Angeles Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie is already making waves in training camp, earning high praise from veteran wide receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.

Adams, who joined the Rams this offseason, said he hasn't felt this confident about a cornerback's ability to challenge him in a long time. "I can honestly say I don't know if I'll get a better look than what I get from Trent out there," Adams said.

Nacua, who played alongside McDuffie at the University of Washington in 2019 and 2020, noted McDuffie's improved patience at the line of scrimmage. "It's his ability to have patience at the line of scrimmage... When that ball is in the air you can see the body tense up and how they react," Nacua said.

During a recent practice, McDuffie knocked away a pass intended for Nacua, showcasing the intense competition between the two former college teammates. "That boy was rolling, I'll tell you that much," McDuffie said of Nacua.

Rams coach Sean McVay praised the high-level competition, saying it reflects the quality of players on both sides of the ball, including Matthew Stafford and Myles Garrett.
