Matt Chapman will undergo season-ending abdominal surgery Tuesday, ending a 2026 campaign in which he hit seven homers and drove in 42 runs over 84 games for San Francisco. Hunter Greene will miss at least the 2026 season after undergoing elbow surgery for a partially torn UCL. Nathan Eovaldi landed on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation. Devin Williams went on the 15-day IL with a right shoulder strain, though the Mets expect a short stay. Griffin Jax was placed on the IL with right elbow discomfort. Jameson Taillon will undergo an MRI on his right forearm after exiting his Blue Jays home debut after four scoreless innings. Caleb Kilian was placed on the 15-day IL with a left oblique strain.
