Phillies lefty Cristopher Sanchez became the first 15-game winner in the majors, beating the Nationals 7-3. Red Sox righty Sonny Gray earned his AL-leading 14th win, matching his career high, with three-hit ball over six innings in a 4-0 victory over the White Sox.

The Los Angeles Dodgers snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 2-1, 10-inning win over the Diamondbacks, a day after they lost their seventh straight on a walk-off homer by rookie Ryan Waldschmidt.
