White Sox are acquiring right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo from the Mariners in a trade that sends Seranthony Dominguez, Nolan Jones, and prospect Boston Smith to Seattle. The Twins have acquired starting pitcher Dean Kremer in a trade with the Orioles. The Guardians have acquired relief help and outfield depth from the Brewers, trading for right-handed pitcher Craig Yoho and switch-hitter Blake Perkins in exchange for minor league catcher Bo Naylor. The Pirates have acquired reliever Camilo Doval in a trade with the Yankees, aiming to bolster their bullpen in their quest to end an 11-year postseason drought. last-place Mets in what could be the first of multiple deals, traded left-handed relief pitcher A.J. Minter to the Twins for prospects Bruin Agbayani and Billy Amick. The Orioles, riddled by injuries at the catcher position, acquired Jake Rogers from the Tigers in exchange for minor league right-hander Zane Barnhart. The Angels, who entered Wednesday with an AL-worst 42-66 record, traded reliever Chase Silseth and catcher Logan O'Hoppe to the Rangers for minor league 3B Angel Arredondo.

Carlos Correa's from surgery to repair a torn ankle tendon is progressing quicker than expected, and Houston's star infielder isn't ruling out a return this season. The Giants are suspending payment to injured outfielder Harrison Bader after he aggravated his injured left foot in a scooter crash last weekend. Houston starter Imai will pitch out of the bullpen for Houston's weekend series against the Texas Rangers after struggling in his last start. The Mariners have placed third baseman J.P. Crawford on the 10-day injured list with left wrist inflammation. The Cubs placed reliever Gavin Hollowell on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation and recalled left-hander Antoine Kelly from Triple-A Iowa. Orioles first Ryan Mountcastle has suffered a torn oblique during his recovery from an earlier left foot fracture and might not return this season. Rays starting Shane McClanahan is listed as day to day after leaving Thursday's victory against the Rangers in the fourth inning because of back tightness. Twins outfielder Buxton has returned to the injured list because of a right hip impingement, the same injury that caused him to miss the All-Star Game. Athletics first Nick Kurtz will undergo an MRI after leaving Wednesday night's game against the Red Sox because of a bruised forearm after being hit by a pitch. Royals first Vinnie Pasquantino, who is hitting .232 with 6 home runs, was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sore right wrist.
