The Minnesota Twins have agreed to acquire starting pitcher Dean Kremer from the Baltimore Orioles after the day after adding relief pitcher A.J. Minter from the New York Mets. The Twins will send 18‑year‑old outfielder Jhomnardo Reyes to Baltimore in the deal. Kremer, who won’t qualify for free agency until after the 2027 season, missed more than 10 weeks with a right quad strain and has posted a 6.50 ERA in seven starts this year, surrendering 14 runs in 10 innings over his last two outings. Minnesota hopes the pitcher can rebound and add depth to a rotation that is without Pablo Lopez, David Festa and Mick Abel.

This move follows a flurry of activity in which the Twins traded 10 veteran players in three days before last year’s deadline. Despite the shuffle, the club remains competitive in a weak American League, sitting at .500 and 3½ games out of first place in the AL Central and only half a game shy of a wild‑card spot. With Tom Pohlad now controlling the franchise, the Twins had long been expected to strengthen their roster while staying in contention.

The Twins are not expected to part with starting pitcher Joe Ryan or center fielder Byron Buxton, and it seems unlikely they will trade catcher Ryan Jeffers, a pending free agent.
