Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after requiring shoulder surgery, coach Sean McVay confirmed. Watson aggravated a previously dislocated shoulder during the Week 8 win over the Chargers. Despite wanting to play, the team determined the risk of further damage was too high.
Watson, who signed a three-year, $51 million contract in March, had recorded an interception and 24 tackles in seven games. He also allowed a 48.5% completion percentage as the nearest defender, the fourth-lowest mark among qualified players. In other roster news, the Rams opened the practice window for star pass rusher Myles Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson.
Both are expected to be listed as limited participants. Garrett has been on injured reserve since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-September.
