Los Angeles Rams pass rusher Myles Garrett (knee) and tight end Terrance Ferguson (ankle) will not return to practice this week, coach Sean McVay said Wednesday. Garrett has been on injured reserve since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-September. He played in the season opener but admitted afterward he was not fully healthy.
McVay noted Garrett has made "good progress" but the team is proceeding week-to-week before potentially opening his 21-day practice window. Ferguson has missed the last four games after spraining his ankle in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. Meanwhile, wide receiver Davante Adams underwent hamstring cleanout surgery after rupturing his semitendinosus in Week 6.
McVay expects Adams to return on the shorter end of the initial 6-to-10-week recovery timeline, praising his "wolverine" healing ability. Through six games, Adams has 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns. The Rams face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8.
