Real Madrid coach Pau Quesada criticized his team's valuation after a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich, blaming Barcelona's dominance for Madrid being undervalued. Madrid led 2-0 early through Athenea del Castillo and Lineth Beerensteyn but conceded twice before the German side equalized. The result leaves Madrid 10th in the UWCL table with three points from three draws.
Quesada argued that Madrid's lack of major trophies since the women's team formed in 2020 is due to Barcelona's stranglehold on Spanish football. Barcelona have won the Champions League four times and Liga F seven times consecutively. In 26 Clásico meetings, Barcelona have won 25, with Madrid triumphing just once in March 2025.
Quesada stated that if Madrid played in England or Germany, they would have won league titles, but they face an unfair brake imposed by Barcelona. Despite the draw, Quesada insisted his team must be more demanding and can beat Barcelona this season, having shown strong form against Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
