The Houston Texans placed wide receiver Jaylin Noel on injured reserve Wednesday, with sources confirming he is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a turf toe injury. The second-year player from Iowa State suffered the injury during a kick return in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Noel, a 2025 third-round pick, led the Texans in receiving yards (331) this season and averaged 17.4 yards per catch, serving as a key playmaker alongside Pro Bowl wideout Nico Collins.
The Texans have options to fill the void, including Tank Dell, who returned in Week 7 after missing 22 months with a knee injury, and Marvin Harrison Jr., acquired in a post-Week 5 trade. Running back Emari Demercado was signed to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Houston enters its bye week with a 2-5 record.
