The Kansas City Royals have placed first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino on the 10-day injured list due to a sore right wrist. Pasquantino, who is batting .232 with six home runs and 33 RBIs across 79 games this season, had previously missed a month due to a broken hamate bone in the same wrist.

He aggravated the injury in the ninth inning of the Royals' recent 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. This marks another setback for the 28-year-old slugger, who had only recently returned to the lineup.

Since his return from the IL on July 11, Pasquantino had played in 11 games. During this period, he recorded a .282 batting average, with one double and no home runs, indicating he was still finding his rhythm at the plate before this latest injury.
