Samsung has begun teasing its next-generation foldable devices, widely expected to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip. Leaks detailing the specifications for a wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 variant have surfaced, suggesting camera upgrades and a potential debut on July 22nd in London alongside the Z Flip 8. Samsung has also wiped its Instagram accounts as part of a viral marketing campaign ahead of the expected launch. Meanwhile, the vivo X Fold 6 is reportedly receiving a global release after its initial debut in China, and rumors persist about a foldable iPhone Ultra potentially launching in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series.

Smart Glasses & Wearables

Samsung's first Android XR smart glasses have been previewed within the Galaxy Glasses Manager app, indicating an upcoming release. Meta has introduced rate limits on its smart glasses' Conversation Focus feature, offering only three hours of free use per month. In wearables, Samsung's Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is rumored to feature a 5,000-nit display and an 800mAh battery, while the Oura Ring 5 has been made 40 percent smaller with an extended battery life.

Google's Gemini app mac OS now includes access to its Spark agentic AI assistant.
