Samsung appears to have confirmed its next Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The company is offering Malaysian fans an exclusive MYR 700 ($171) discount on upcoming Galaxy Foldable devices through the Samsung Members app, with the promotion running from July 22 through October 4.

The timing strongly suggests Samsung will unveil its new foldable lineup at this summer event. Rumors point to the Galaxy Z Fold8 as Samsung's first wide foldable, designed to compete with Apple's anticipated iPhone Ultra arriving later this year. The lineup will also include the confusingly-named Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip8.

Current models show the pricing gap between Samsung's foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold7 starts around €1,369 for 256GB, while the Z Flip7 begins at roughly €757 for similar storage. This price difference reflects the premium positioning of Samsung's large-screen foldables versus their compact flip-style counterparts.

Samsung's July event will reveal whether the company can maintain momentum in the foldable market while facing increased competition from Apple's rumored entry into wide-screen foldables this fall.
