Injury Updates

The past three days have been brutal for star players, as the Dodgers snap a 7-game skid recovery thread continues. Matt Chapman will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing abdominal surgery Tuesday. Hunter Greene of the Reds is also out for the season after UCL surgery. The Rangers placed Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-day IL with elbow inflammation. The Mets put Devin Williams on the IL with a shoulder strain. Griffin Jax of the Rays landed on the IL due to elbow discomfort. Jose Altuve exited after taking a pitch to the foot, though the injury is not considered serious. Bryce Harper is battling knee soreness since shifting back to right field. Nick Kurtz may miss the rest of the season with a thumb injury. The Athletic's Jacob Wilson saw his record errorless streak end at 112 games after a bad throw. Kyle Stowers of the Marlins went on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain. Geraldo Perdomo left early with knee soreness, but it's not believed to be serious. Jameson Taillon left his first home start with forearm discomfort and will have an MRI. Caleb Kilian of the Phillies went on the IL with an oblique strain. Brewers infielder Cooper Pratt is on the IL with a hamstring strain, testing the team's infield depth.
