Blake Snell struck out seven of the first ten batters he faced in his return from the injured list after three months. He allowed back-to-back hits, but struck out the side on 13 pitches in the first inning against the Kansas City Royals. Snell gave up one run and three hits, striking out 10 while walking one in the Dodgers' 5-4 victory.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner made just one start this season before going on the IL. He made three rehab starts and is one of three Dodgers pitchers to have surgery for loose bodies this season. The Dodgers are looking for him to get back on track after losing eight of their last 10.
