Framework Laptop 13 Pre-Order Price Drop

TechPowerUp News •

Framework has announced a price reduction for pre-orders of the Laptop 13, following a previous increase. The company secured a cheaper batch of LPCAMM2 memory, allowing it to lower costs for customers. Existing pre-orders will receive automatic refunds for the difference, while pending orders will be adjusted to the new price.

However, the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H variant remains in short supply. New batches of these CPUs are arriving at a higher cost, meaning future orders for this configuration will be more expensive. Framework is giving existing pre-order holders priority access to these limited units.

For those who already received their laptops, Framework will issue partial refunds for the memory price drop. Customers with pending orders can also modify their configurations, including upgrading to 32GB or 64GB of LPCAMM2, at the reduced price. Those who have already shipped can contact support for a return and exchange.

This move aims to address customer dissatisfaction from the earlier price hike. Framework's transparency and proactive refunds demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction, even as supply chain challenges persist for high-end components.
