Intel revealed its Arc G-Series chips at Computex, targeting the gaming handheld market despite recent Steam Deck price increases. The new Arc G3 and G3 Extreme chips feature up to Arc B390 GPUs with real-time ray tracing and AI upscaling capabilities from XeSS 3 technology. These chips will power upcoming devices including the Acer Predator Atlas 8, MSI Claw 8 EX AI+, and OneXPlayer in coming months.

Built on Intel's 18A process, these chips include two performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and four low-power efficiency cores. They support Wi-Fi 7 R2, Thunderbolt 4, and dual Bluetooth 6 connectivity. The hardware represents Intel's continued push into the gaming handheld space after previous setbacks in the mobile processor market.

Intel optimized the chips for Windows 11's Xbox mode to reduce interface clunkiness on handhelds. The company also implemented Intel Precompiled Shaders for faster game launches, with supported titles including Black Myth: Wukong, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and 7, and The Outer Worlds 2.
