Acer unveiled its Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld powered by Intel's Arc G3 Extreme processor, bringing desktop-level performance to portable gaming. The device features up to Intel Arc B390 graphics with ray tracing support and AI-powered XeSS 3 upscaling, targeting gamers who want high-fidelity PC gaming without being tethered to a desktop.

The 8-inch WUXGA display runs at 120 Hz with 500 nits peak brightness and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. An 80 Wh battery paired with Intel Endurance Gaming aims to extend play sessions while the dual-fan AeroBlade cooling system, featuring the first metal fan in a handheld with 89 blades at 0.1 mm thickness, manages heat during demanding games.

Connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, while DTS:X Ultra audio pumps through dual 2-watt speakers. The handheld ships with XBOX Game Pass and runs Windows 11 with PredatorSense software for system monitoring and performance tuning. Customizable triggers offer micro-switch mode for shooters or analog control for racing games.

Pricing and exact configurations remain under wraps, but Acer plans to launch the Predator Atlas 8 across North America, EMEA, and Australia in October 2026. This positions Acer directly against ASUS and Lenovo in the premium handheld gaming market as Intel pushes its discrete graphics into portable form factors.
