Apple Wallet offers digital IDs and driver's licenses in various US states, and MacRumors' Aaron Perris has found references indicating Utah and Virginia could be next to launch support.

Apple Wallet added digital ID support years ago, but state adoption has been slow until recently. Perris discovered backend references for both states, suggesting Apple has completed much of the technical work needed for launch.

The Utah reference was found July 23, 2026, while Virginia appeared in May. However, exact launch timing depends on both Apple's and the states' schedules. The backend presence strongly signals imminent availability for residents.

Currently, several states already support Apple Wallet driver's licenses. Users in supported states are encouraged to share their experiences.
