Driver's licenses and IDs may soon be available in Apple Wallet for iPhone and Apple Watch users in Utah. MacRumors found evidence of a Utah ID in Apple's backend, indicating progress on implementation.

While Utah already has a standalone mobile driver's license app, Apple Wallet integration is still listed as in the initial planning stages on its FAQ page. Users of the existing app will eventually be able to download their Utah ID to Apple Wallet. Apple first announced plans for Utah IDs in Apple Wallet back in 2021, but it has yet to materialize.

Other states, including Connecticut, Kentucky, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Virginia, are also planning similar support. Several states, such as Arizona, California, and Colorado, along with Puerto Rico, have already implemented this feature. Digital IDs are accepted at select TSA checkpoints and some businesses.
