iPhone 11 Exploit Lawsuit

Cybersecurity firm Paradigm Shift published details of a boot ROM vulnerability affecting Apple's A12 and A13 chips, used in devices like the iPhone 11 series. However, the firm later removed its blog post after being sued by digital forensics firm Magnet Forensics.

Magnet Forensics alleges that the vulnerability disclosed by Paradigm Shift is the same one its former employee, Mario Del Gaudio, worked on before joining Paradigm Shift, claiming he exposed trade secrets. This type of vulnerability, residing in the chip's read-only memory, cannot be fixed with an iOS update.

The lawsuit centers on the alleged misappropriation of trade secrets related to an unpatchable exploit impacting a significant number of Apple devices, including the iPhone XS and iPhone 11 models.
