Samsung's Foldable Pub Serves Terrible Alcohol-Free Beer

Samsung launched a pop-up pub in London's Soho to celebrate its new foldable devices. The "Fold Inn" featured themed areas, including a "folded" bar and a pool table mirroring the Galaxy Z Flip 8's aspect ratio.

Samsung offered three non-alcoholic beers named after its new phones: the City Pour, Soho Sippa, and Shoreditch Pint. The author found these beers to taste "pretty terrible," though Samsung did not disclose the brewer. Traditional Grolsch was also available.

The pub's decor included line drawings and artworks with subtle nods to Samsung phones, some appearing historically vintage. A signed England football shirt was also displayed, which the author used with Gemini to identify as belonging to the Euro '96 squad, including signatures from Alan Shearer and manager Terry Venables.

The pop-up, open for only two days, aimed to blend the concept of a British pub with Samsung's latest technology, though it notably lacked air-conditioning and offered a prominent selection of alcohol-free beverages.
