Samsung has finally rolled out its Certified Re-Newed program in India, offering officially refurbished smartphones at reduced prices. The lineup includes the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, mid‑range S25, and several A‑series models, each sold with a full one‑year warranty and unlocked for any carrier today.

Pricing starts at INR 97,499 for a 256 GB S25 Ultra, while the S25 256 GB variant goes for INR 58,749. The A56 appears in two configurations—8 GB RAM/256 GB storage at INR 31,499 and 12 GB RAM/256 GB at INR 32,749. The entry‑level A36 128 GB is listed at INR 23,249 in the Indian market as of launch.

Each device undergoes a strict refurbishment process in a Samsung‑approved facility. Certified technicians clean, test, and restore phones to “like‑new” condition, installing the latest software and swapping any faulty parts with genuine Samsung components. After passing intensive diagnostics, phones are repackaged with a box, data cable, quick‑start guide, and SIM ejector pin.

By entering the refurbished market, Samsung aims to capture price‑sensitive buyers while extending the lifecycle of its premium hardware. Offering the same one‑year warranty as new units reassures consumers about reliability, potentially boosting resale value and reducing electronic waste. The move positions Samsung alongside other OEMs already leveraging certified pre‑owned programs in emerging markets.
