GIGABYTE's latest offering, the BRIX GB-BRU9-386H, brings Intel's Panther Lake architecture to compact computing. The mini PC features the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H SoC, a 28W TDP chip with 16 cores split into 4P+8E+4LPE clusters, paired with a 4-core Xe3 GPU running at 2.5GHz for 40 TOPS AI performance. This configuration sits below the lineup's flagship X9 388H model, which boasts 12 Xe3 cores.

Despite its diminutive 0.47-liter footprint (112.6 x 34.4 x 119.4mm), the BRIX delivers enterprise-grade expandability. Two M.2 slots support PCIe Gen 5 and Gen 4 SSDs, while memory options include 128GB CSO-DIMM DDR5-6400 or 96GB SO-DIMM DDR5-5600. The barebones design requires user-installed components but includes front-panel USB4, headset jack, and dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, with a rear panel featuring HDMI 2.1, USB4, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Notably, the BRIX targets productivity-focused users rather than gaming, prioritizing portability over integrated graphics power. Its compact form factor and high memory capacity position it as a viable alternative to traditional workstations in space-constrained environments. GIGABYTE hasn't disclosed pricing or availability yet, though the model's website listing confirms an imminent launch.

The Panther Lake integration marks Intel's continued push into compact PC segments, with GIGABYTE's BRIX series maintaining its reputation for small-form-factor innovation. Analysts note this could pressure competitors like Intel's own NUC lineup to enhance memory support in upcoming releases.
