Intel's next-generation Nova Lake-S desktop platform has been spotted for the first time in an ECS Liva P300 mini-PC at Embedded World 2026. The mini-PC features Intel's upcoming B960 chipset and support for DDR5 memory running at 8,000 MT/s, representing a significant upgrade to Intel's integrated memory controller. This suggests the company is preparing to support higher-speed memory before any XMP or factory-overclocked modules hit the market.

German tech outlet ComputerBase discovered the 3.5-liter mini-PC, which currently runs on a 120 W PSU but will ship with a 210-240 W power supply to handle top-tier configurations. The flagship 52-core SKU will have a 175 W TDP, while 65 W configurations will also be available. Graphics output is powered by Xe3P GPU IP, confirming previous rumors about Intel's integrated graphics architecture.

The platform promises substantial AI performance, delivering over 100 TOPS using 8-bit INT8 data types through the onboard NPU and Xe3P GPU. While ECS plans to release the mini-PC in early 2027, Intel's broader Nova Lake rollout is targeted for late 2026, with the full lineup arriving in early 2027. The B960 chipset represents a non-overclocking variant aimed at mini PCs and standard desktops, with a 'Z' chipset expected to return for high-end overclocking needs.
