AMD unveiled the Instinct MI400 Series data-center GPUs and the Helios rack-scale solution, powered by the new CDNA 5 architecture built on a 2 nm process. The flagship Instinct MI455X boasts 320 billion transistors, 432 GB of HBM4, and significant performance gains over its predecessor, targeting AI-factory deployments.

The MI400 Series includes the MI455X for frontier AI and the MI430X for sovereign AI and HPC. The Helios rack integrates 72 MI455X GPUs with EPYC "Venice" CPUs and Pensando networking, offering a competitive open alternative to NVIDIA's offerings.

Alongside the hardware, AMD introduced ROCm.ai, an AI-native software stack featuring a unified CLI, AI coding assistant integration, and automated inference optimization. The company also teased "Gorgon Halo," a successor to its Ryzen AI Mini-PC platform, hinting at future advancements in client AI capabilities.
