Today, Samsung announced enhancements to its Care+ protection plan across 17 European markets. The updated plan offers unlimited accidental damage coverage for drops and spills with a simplified excess fee. The company is also removing the previous 60-day travel limit, providing seamless care at home and abroad for its users.

Adding to the plan's appeal, Samsung is introducing new walk-in repair locations, with 175 new sites. Customers can still opt to send their devices for repair. Furthermore, devices with batteries under 80% capacity post-warranty are eligible for a complimentary battery replacement. Mechanical and electrical failures are also covered during the policy term.

Consumers now have a monthly payment option for up to 60 months, with the flexibility to cancel anytime, complementing the existing two-year option. For added security, theft and loss coverage can be included. This ensures a replacement device is dispatched within 48 hours of an approved claim.

This move by Samsung to bolster its Care+ program in Europe reflects a broader trend in the industry. Companies increasingly emphasize extended warranties and protection plans to enhance customer satisfaction and product longevity. This strategy also provides an additional revenue stream and strengthens brand loyalty.
