AppleCare One Expansion to EU Markets

Apple's AppleCare One subscription service could soon expand to European markets after the company registered the trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The service, which launched in the US last July, allows customers to cover multiple devices with a single plan. This represents a significant shift from Apple's traditional approach to device protection.

The $19.99 monthly subscription covers up to three devices with unlimited accident repairs, priority support, and battery coverage. Subscribers gain flexibility to move devices in and out of coverage at any time and can add products up to four years old. AppleCare One also introduced theft and loss protection to iPad and Apple Watch for the first time, with automatic coverage transfer when trading in devices.

Apple claims customers could save up to $11 monthly compared to separate AppleCare+ plans. While the EUIPO filing doesn't confirm a specific launch date, such trademark registrations typically precede service expansions across regions. The application has been accepted and assigned to an examiner, indicating Apple is progressing toward bringing its comprehensive device protection plan to European markets.
