Apple will refresh its Series 12 and Ultra 4 watches with better specs but no design overhaul, according to Mark Gurman's latest Bloomberg report. The company is in "late-stage testing" for both models in Wi-Fi and cellular variants.

The Apple Watch SE 3, released last year, isn't expected to see a refresh this year. Instead of a major cosmetic change, Apple will focus on health and fitness-tracking improvements alongside a specs and speed boost from new chips. The last major processor upgrade came in 2023 with the S9 chip.

A "bigger rethink" for the Apple Watch is reportedly one to two years away. Apple also continues work on non-invasive blood sugar detection, a feature that would integrate with its health software platform.
