Apple Upgrade, the company's new installment program, will go live on July 28, coinciding with the end of sign-ups for the iPhone Upgrade Program. According to Mark Gurman's Sunday "Power On" newsletter for Bloomberg, Apple will stop new enrollments for the old program while existing subscribers can continue.

Unlike its predecessor, Apple Upgrade extends beyond iPhones to include iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch models. Plans run for 24 or 36 months depending on the product, with early upgrade options. However, budget devices like the Apple Watch SE and MacBook Neo are excluded, as are business and education purchases.

Another key change is the removal of AppleCare from the base plan—it must now be purchased separately. Financially, the program shifts from Citizen Bank to Klarna as the backing partner.
