Meta launched its first image generation tool, Muse Image, integrated into the Meta AI app. This new tool, developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs, leverages the Muse Spark AI model to interpret text prompts, search for context online, and then create visuals. The company states Muse Image is already powering new creative features within Instagram and WhatsApp, with plans to expand to Facebook and Messenger.

Users can generate images by providing descriptive text prompts. Muse Image also allows for personalization by working with uploaded photos, tagged friend profiles, and trending information across Meta's platforms. Instagram Stories will see over 30 new AI-powered effects, and WhatsApp users can generate images directly in chats with Meta AI.

Meta also revealed that Muse Video is in development, indicating its ongoing investment in AI-driven content creation. Advertisers and agencies will gain access to Muse Image via Advantage+ creative in the coming weeks. The Meta AI app is available for free on the App Store.
