For Food Companies, Shifts From GLP-1 Use Are Hard to Digest

People on medications for weight loss are buying less food, shrinking their portion sizes and purchasing smaller clothes. Businesses are trying to adjust.

In the spring of 2024, weighing 210 pounds and on medication to reduce his blood pressure, Dan Sherry was prescribed Ozempic. Today Mr. Sherry, 58, weighs 160 pounds and his blood pressure is under control. He bikes daily and his waist is six inches smaller.
