US mortgage rates rose for a seventh straight week, reaching their highest level since 2023 as benchmark borrowing costs climbed against a backdrop of surging Treasury yields. The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 7.4 percent, adding pressure on the housing market. Longer-dated Treasuries edged higher as investors readied for a $22 billion 30-year sale, while US stocks touched session lows for a second day as investors weighed renewed energy-supply risks and AI bubble fears. Audax completed the sale of Rensa Filtration to AEA Investors and BCI, with the Aurora, Illinois-based maker of tight-tolerance air filters for data centers changing hands. Thoma Bravo-backed Blue Matrix agreed to buy AI research platform Aiera, expanding its capital markets publishing business into AI-driven research distribution.

SRS Acquiom, backed by Lovell Minnick and Carlyle Alp Invest, agreed to acquire Pantarai to broaden its loan technology, loan closing and middle office services. Sterling-backed Verdantas inked a deal for Austin civil engineering firm Civilitude, which provides water and wastewater infrastructure and permitting services.

Energy Services

Monomoy Capital Partners completed its investment in Creedence Energy Services, the Minot, North Dakota oilfield chemicals provider founded in 2014. In a related move, Monomoy's Creedence deal was paired with Permira portfolio company Acuity acquiring a US consultancy, underscoring continued activity across industrial services.
