Teledyne e2v has begun full production of its 16GB DDR4-X1 Flight Model memory, expanding its radiation-tolerant memory portfolio for space applications. The new device supports data rates up to 2400 MT/s and provides single-event latch-up immunity above 43 MeV·cm²/mg, meeting the growing processing demands of AI-enabled satellites and large constellations.

Initial samples were delivered to customers in October 2025, allowing early system integration and evaluation. The memory maintains a compact 15 × 20 × 1.92 mm footprint and offers radiation tolerance up to 35 krad TID, enabling reliable operation in mission-critical space environments. Its pin-to-pin compatibility with lower-density versions allows satellite integrators to upgrade memory capacity without redesigning their boards.

The 16GB DDR4-X1 device is also integrated into Teledyne e2v's Qormino QLS1046 space computing modules, which combine radiation-tolerant processors with DDR4 memory for advanced onboard processing tasks such as AI inference and autonomous spacecraft operations. This production milestone confirms the program's progress as planned, with documentation and customer support structures already in place to support adoption across multiple space programs.
