PassMark’s latest MemTest86 build 11.7 introduces preliminary LPCAMM2 testing, targeting Intel’s “Meteor Lake” and “Arrow Lake” processors. The update lets users run standardized diagnostics on the new memory form factor that powers recent Lenovo ThinkBook and Framework Laptop models.

LPCAMM2, a rising standard backed by CXMT, Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron, currently ships in LPDDR5X‑8533 and LPDDR5X‑9600 modules. With DDR6 development slated for 2028, reliable testing tools grow increasingly vital for manufacturers and enthusiasts.

The patch adds graphics reports, faulty‑die decoding, and ECC/timing support for several Intel chipsets, while correcting slot enumeration and temperature reporting bugs. It also captures TSC frequency via ACPI when HPET is unavailable, tightening compatibility across platforms.

By delivering early support for LPCAMM2, MemTest86 equips testers to validate memory integrity before DDR6 arrives, ensuring smoother adoption of the new standard across laptops and workstations.
