GIGABYTE introduced the B550 AORUS Elite WiFi7, a new Socket AM4 motherboard supporting DDR4 memory, timed with the re-launch of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor. It upgrades the B550 AORUS Elite AX V2 by swapping the Wi-Fi 6E module for a Realtek RTL8922AE Wi-Fi 7 WLAN module with 160 MHz channel width and Bluetooth 5.4.

The board adds GIGABYTE's latest EZ-plug antenna connector, replacing screw-type RP-SMA connectors. Built in ATX form-factor with a 12+2 phase VRM, it features four DDR4 DIMM slots, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, one M.2 Gen 4 NVMe slot, and a second Gen 3 M.2 slot wired to the B550 FCH. Additional slots include a PCIe x16 (electrical x4), a third x16 (electrical x1), and a physical x1 slot.

Connectivity includes 2.5 GbE LAN via Realtek 8125 controller, Realtek ALC1200 audio, and extensive USB: a 5 Gbps USB-C header, two 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, four 5 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, plus USB 2.0 ports. Expected pricing is sub-$160.
