Gigabyte has released the Z890 Aorus Elite Duo X, a motherboard designed for Intel enthusiasts and priced under $300. It introduces support for CQDIMM modules, enabling ultra-high capacity DDR5 memory configurations, with speeds reaching up to DDR5-8000 MT/s.

This board features a streamlined design with only two DIMM slots, freeing up space for an additional M.2 port with a heatsink. Alongside CQDIMM support, it offers PCIe Gen 5 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, along with a 512 Mbit BIOS. Despite its value proposition, some specification cuts are present to meet the sub-$300 price point.

The Z890 Aorus Elite Duo X supports Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (Arrow Lake) CPUs and boasts a robust power design. Key features include a PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot, multiple PCIe Gen 4 M.2 slots, and a 5 Gbps Ethernet port, complemented by a 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C port.
