ASRock X870E Taichi White Review

The ASRock X870E Taichi White arrives with a striking all-white aesthetic, an upgrade to 10 Gbps Ethernet, and a larger 512 Mbit/64 MB BIOS. This imposing EATX motherboard aims to deliver the same impressive value as its predecessor, now at a launch price of $450, identical to the original model reviewed in October 2024.

While the new features are welcome, the continued availability of the original X870E Taichi for under $300 presents a challenge for recommendations. The refreshed board supports AMD Socket AM5 Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series CPUs and features a robust power design, including a 24-phase CPU power delivery. It boasts four DIMM slots supporting up to 256 GB of DDR5-8200 (OC) memory.

Expansion includes one PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot and another PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot operating at x8. Storage options comprise three SATA 6 Gb/s ports, one M.2 slot with PCIe Gen 5 x4 support, and three M.2 slots with PCIe Gen 4 x4. Networking is handled by 10 Gbps Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7. Rear connectivity is extensive, featuring USB4 40 Gbps, USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps, and other standard ports.
