SK Group & NVIDIA Expand AI Partnership

SK Group and NVIDIA announced a $500-billion-plus strategic partnership to build AI infrastructure across the Asia‑Pacific region.

The agreement, formalized through letters of intent, covers AI factory construction, AI memory supply, and the deployment of NVIDIA’s DSX platform and Vera Rubin accelerator. A 2‑gigawatt AI cloud will be built by SK Telecom in South Korea, using SK hynix HBM4 memory, with the first AI factory slated to launch in 2027.

The collaboration aims to accelerate_af large‑scale AI services, including sovereign, physical, agentic and enterprise AI, and to broaden customer access to advanced cloud offerings. SK hynix will co‑develop next‑generation AI memory solutions with NVIDIA, ensuring a stable supply for training large language models and emerging AI workloads.

“Leveraging SK hynix’s AI memory and SK Telecom’s infrastructure, we will create a world‑class AI factory that propels Korea from a leading adopter to a global AI innovation hub,” said SK Group Chairman Chey Tae‑won. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang added that the partnership will power Korea’s next wave of growth.
