Humphries took particular umbrage at comments from darts content creator Charlie Murphy, who questioned whether the champion was missing confidence.

Murphy had suggested Humphries was 'giving in' to world champion Luke Littler and might miss out on the Premier League Darts top four. The comments came in a YouTube video for Online Betting Guide (OLBG), where Murphy questioned Humphries' current form. Humphries dismissed the criticism, saying his priority is winning games and providing for his family, not having 'aura.' He called the concept 'fake' and 'made-up.'

The reigning Premier League champion also pushed back against suggestions he's falling behind Littler, noting their recent matches have gone to last-leg deciders. Humphries and Littler have split their two Premier League meetings this season, with each taking 6-5 wins. While Littler sits five points ahead in the table, Humphries maintains he's pushing the world champion all the way.
