New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Tuesday that the team will keep Will Campbell at left tackle despite his struggles in Super Bowl LX. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft had multiple blocking miscues in the Patriots' 29-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Some NFL teams projected Campbell as a guard coming out of LSU, fueling speculation about a position change.

Vrabel dismissed the chatter, comparing the scrutiny Campbell faced to that of quarterbacks, cornerbacks, and even head coaches. "Will is 22 years old, he's our left tackle, he'll get better, he'll get stronger," Vrabel said during his season-ending news conference at Gillette Stadium. "We're not moving Will to guard, or center or tight end or anywhere else." Campbell, who tore a ligament in his knee in November against the Cincinnati Bengals, acknowledged the criticism comes with being a high draft pick.

The young tackle declined to speak to reporters immediately after the Super Bowl loss, later apologizing for his emotional response. "When I get emotional, I tend to have no mind -- and that's not the way that I need to approach this thing," Campbell explained. "I know what I got to get better at and move on." The Patriots' commitment to Campbell signals their belief in his potential despite the Super Bowl struggles.
