Ex-Bears GM Ryan Pace Joins Vikings Front Office in Advisory Role

The Minnesota Vikings have added former Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace as a football adviser, continuing GM Nolan Teasley's overhaul of the organization's personnel department. Pace, who ran the Bears from 2015 to 2021 before joining the Atlanta Falcons, will serve as a high-level consultant for Teasley as the new GM reshapes Minnesota's front office.

Teasley has rapidly assembled his team since arriving from Seattle earlier this month. He hired Azzaam Kapadia as assistant director of pro scouting and retained Trent Kirchner as assistant GM. Andrew Healy also joined from the Cleveland Browns to serve as an assistant GM. These moves bring fresh perspectives to a department that saw significant turnover, with four executives departing last week.

The ownership group of Zygi and Mark Wilf maintained the existing organizational structure, keeping both Teasley and coach Kevin O'Connell reporting directly to them. However, they granted Teasley full authority to rebuild the personnel staff. Veteran executive Ryan Grigson will stay with the team but in a revised capacity.

This aggressive restructuring signals the Vikings' commitment to immediate improvement after missing the playoffs. Pace's experience in Chicago and Atlanta provides Teasley with veteran guidance as they evaluate quarterback options and roster needs for 2026.
