Inter Miami forward Germán Berterame described feeling like "someone turned off the TV" after suffering a head injury during the July 25 match against CF Montreal. The incident occurred when Berterame was struck by an elbow from Efraín Morales inside the box, causing him to collapse and require immediate medical attention.

Berterame recalled waking up in the ambulance, fully conscious and asking questions about what happened. His wife experienced a panic attack after watching the incident on television, though he emphasized that he is now okay and his family is calm.

Following the injury, Berterame was sidelined under the MLS concussion protocol, missing six matches. Inter Miami manager Guillermo Hoyos described the incident as a "very, very hard blow," noting that the elbow clearly warranted the penalty awarded during the game.

The forward confirmed his availability for Saturday's match against Toronto FC at Nu Stadium, bringing relief to the club after a concerning period.
