Bayern Munich confirmed that Jamal Musiala's recent collapses during matches were triggered by a change in his treatment for a neurological condition, board member Max Eberl said Friday.

The 23-year-old player collapsed in successive games, raising concerns among teammates and fans. Musiala revealed on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with "absence seizures caused by a neurological dysfunction" but emphasized there is no major health risk and he plans to continue playing.

Eberl and coach Vincent Kompany remained calm, stating the club has been managing the issue for over a year. Kompany explained that Musiala is being omitted from Saturday's German Supercup against Borussia Dortmund due to the heightened attention, but the situation is well-understood and under control.

"The player made a change to his treatment, which had some side effects," Kompany said. "Now we want to return to how things were before -- when nobody knew anything about it." Musiala will train individually next week as the team adjusts his medication back to a stable, seizure-free state.
