Browns Cut Jack Conklin After Injury-Plagued Stint

The Cleveland Browns are releasing offensive tackle Jack Conklin, ending a six-year run that was derailed by injuries. The 31-year-old made 57 of his 114 career starts in Cleveland but missed 44 of 101 possible games, including 30 since 2023. Conklin suffered two concussions in 2025 and missed the final two games of the season.

A first-round pick in 2016, Conklin joined the Browns on a one-year deal before the 2020 season. He signed a four-year, $60 million extension in December 2022 but played just 57 games over six seasons. The team is now overhauling its offensive line, including acquiring Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans in free agency.

Cleveland also released offensive lineman Wyatt Teller and tight end David Njoku with post-June 1 designations. Both players announced in February they would not return to the Browns. The moves signal a significant reset for Cleveland's offense as the team reshapes its roster for the future.
