Chiefs, Patriots, Lions Moves

Eric Bieniemy returned to the Chiefs on Monday after a two-week absence following the shooting of his wife; his son Elijah, has been charged. The Patriots signed tight end Hunter Henry to a two-year extension worth up to $20 million, with $14.5 million guaranteed. Meanwhile, Lions center Cade Mays will miss significant time with a wrist injury; running back Isiah Pacheco also hurt his knee. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is retiring from the Lions again, prompting Detroit to pivot to Joshua Dobbs.

49ers, Saints, Bears Updates

Kyle Shanahan intends to coach the 49ers' preseason opener against the Titans as he nears full recovery from a car crash. Saints guard Dillon Radunz is out for the season with a torn ACL.
