Amazfit has opened a beta program for its new iOS Notification Forwarding feature, letting iPhone alerts appear on supported wearables. The test is restricted to users in the EU, and it moves beyond simple buzzes to message previews, quick replies, and read confirmations from the watch. Apps like WhatsApp can push image‑rich notifications that show on the wrist. This capability mirrors features long offered by competing ecosystems.

The rollout begins June 30 via Zepp updates on the iOS App Store. Users must run iOS 26.5 or later; the updated app prompts activation. First wave covers the Cheetah 2 Ultra, Balance Ultra and Balance 3, with models like the Bip Max and T‑Rex 3 joining in later weeks. Amazfit will gather usage data to refine latency and battery impact.

By letting users read, reply, or dismiss messages without pulling out their phone, Amazfit narrows the gap between smartphones and wearables. Visual alerts, including doorbell snapshots, demonstrate how the platform can handle richer data streams. The limited‑region beta gives the company real‑world feedback before a wider launch, potentially reshaping how Android‑based watches compete with Apple’s ecosystem. It positions Amazfit as an iOS contender.
