Apple has released iOS 26.3, a minor update that introduces several EU-mandated features alongside the highly anticipated Transfer to Android tool. While not feature-packed, the update includes significant changes for cross-platform compatibility and user privacy. Watch our hands-on video walkthrough of all the new additions.

The Transfer to Android feature, developed in partnership with Google, allows users to migrate photos, messages, apps, and phone numbers to compatible Android devices. Located in Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone, the tool uses high-bandwidth Wi-Fi for peer-to-peer transfers. However, health data, Bluetooth-paired devices, and protected items cannot be transferred initially, though Apple plans to expand supported data types.

Other notable additions include proximity pairing for third-party devices in EU countries, notification forwarding to competing smartwatches, and Limit Precise Location for devices with Apple's cellular modems. The notification forwarding feature has raised privacy concerns, as it could expose sensitive information to third-party devices. The update also reorganizes the wallpaper gallery, separating Weather and Astronomy into dedicated sections. While iOS 26.3 lacks major headline features, it paves the way for the upcoming iOS 26.4 beta, which promises Gemini-assisted Siri functionality.
