Whoop adds video doctor visits and EHR syncing to its fitness tracker

Whoop is expanding into virtual healthcare. Starting this summer, US users will access on-demand video consultations with licensed clinicians directly through the fitness tracker app. The wearables company also announced EHR syncing, allowing members and clinicians to pull up medical histories during appointments.

Unlike traditional healthcare that relies on brief office visits, these consultations begin with months of continuous health data from the Whoop device, plus bloodwork and medical history when available. The company hasn't revealed pricing for the new service, which represents a significant pivot toward preventive health.

Whoop also unveiled new AI features: My Memory lets users customize the personal context that informs their coaching, while Proactive Check-Ins provides training and recovery recommendations based on life circumstances. The timing matters—Google just announced its screenless Fitbit Air, a direct competitor to Whoop's wearable.

The moves position Whoop as more than a fitness tracker, transforming into a comprehensive health platform. By combining continuous biometric monitoring with clinical access, the company aims to differentiate itself in an increasingly crowded wearables market where device sales alone may not sustain growth.
